Greater Jackson Habitat for Humanity

Established in 1989, GJHFH has assisted over 30 families reach their goal of simple, decent housing. Home ownership opportunities are available through an enrollment process that considers: Need, Ability to Pay, and Willingness to Partner. Those interested may call the GJHFH office for an enrollment application and selection criteria.

Jackson Housing Commission

Established in 1946, the Jackson Housing Commission provides rental housing for low - moderate income families. For more information please call (517) 787-1188.

Jackson Housing Commission also administers the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program (Housing Vouchers) for Jackson County. For more information please call (517) 787-6326.

New Neighbor Program - City of Jackson

The City of Jackson renovates homes for sale to low - moderate income buyers. They currently have three homes available - 1906 Plymouth, 1911 E. Ganson and 826 Wells. You may use our down payment assistance to purchase these homes. Contact our office or the Community Development Department at 788-4060 for further information.
