- Contact our office for an 'info packet' by submitting our form. This packet will tell you about our program, who is eligible, and how to get started.
- Your first step will be to attend an Orientation. These are held once a month in the evening (5:30 p.m.) and once a month in the morning (9:30 a.m.). View our current schedule.
- At the Orientation, you will be scheduled for an individual counseling session with the Housing Program Coordinator. At this time she will review your file with you and determine your next step. You may be ready to purchase, or you may need to address some issues first (credit or employment, for example).
- When you are ready to purchase, the Housing Program Coordinator will discuss lenders with you. You may work with a lender of your own choosing; however, if you do not have a preference she can help you choose one.
- Your file will be forwarded to the selected lender for review. Once approved, you may begin the process of finding a home.
- Home Ownership Workshops are scheduled every other month. This consists of two 3-hour sessions, which will cover everything from beginning to end regarding home purchase. You must attend both sessions to receive your certificate; you must have your certificate to receive financial assistance.
